My first written testimony bearing witness to the healing power of Christian Science appeared in the Sentinel in 1950, the same week in which our first son was born. We now have two other children. In each case harmonious childbirth was experienced through the help of Christian Science. This harmony was maintained in spite of medical prediction of possible complications.

Our family depends entirely upon Christian Science for healing, protection, and spiritual regeneration. I should like to tell of two recent experiences. One day I was in the backyard, wearing open sandals. I felt a sharp sting on my foot and believed that I had been bitten by a scorpion.

I immediately denied the material evidence and tried to realize that all ideas are actually spiritual and not material and therefore are harmless. However, my initial metaphysical work was apparently not adequate, for within a couple of hours I was feeling ill.
