When I was but a babe in arms,...
When I was but a babe in arms, a serious malady prevented me from retaining any food. Although the best of medical techniques were available in Chicago, where this occurred, they proved inadequate; and in desperation my parents turned to Christian Science for help.
The healing was accomplished in a short time, and one of the results was that my parents became lifelong active followers of our revered Leader, Mary Baker Eddy. My sister is also active in the study and practice of our religion, as is my own family, consisting of my wife and our two grown sons.
Over the years, some fifty odd, since the above-mentioned healing took place, we have had many proofs of the practicability of God's power and love when understood and demonstrated according to the precepts of Christian Science. One of the outstanding healings experienced in our family was that of meningitis.
