Words can never tell of my deep...

Words can never tell of my deep gratitude for Christian Science. It was introduced to my mother before the turn of the century, and although its healing effects left a lasting impression, it was not accepted until twenty years later. At that time the whole family of three generations became Christian Scientists, I might say overnight, through the healing of my mother. She had fallen and sprained her hand. An insurance agent stopping at our house at the time said, "I'll treat you as we are taught in Christian Science if you will let me."

My mother agreed and was in stantly healed. She was so impressed that she went to the dresser drawer and took out her copy of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. The book had been laid away many years before.

The next Sunday we children were enrolled in the Christian Science Sunday School, and my mother, father, and grandfather started to attend services in a branch Church of Christ, Scientist. The next few weeks were spent in talking about this wonderful new religion. My mother read Science and Health almost constantly day and night. One morning, after a night of reading, my mother aroused me and asked me to look at her back, where a large ugly growth, supposedly a tumor, had been, and, behold, it was gone; not even a discoloration remained.
