RADIO PROGRAM No. 319 - "Be not afraid"

Speaker: There's a growing recognition that fear is an enemy and that often is the root of disease. How grateful we should be that no matter how acute fear may be, it can be overcome through prayer based on spiritual understanding! Our guest, Mrs. Inez Garner, of Tyler, Texas, learned this at a time of crisis in her life.

Won't you tell us about it yourself, Mrs. Garner?

Mrs. Garner: All right, I'll be glad to. From the time I was a child, I'd always been considered very frail and subject to disease; the doctor was a regular visitor to our home. As I grew older, I became more and more interested in medical subjects. In college I took all the premedical courses I could. I was an avid reader of descriptions of various diseases, and I was constantly looking for symptoms of the diseases that were widely publicized. And all this time there was a fear way back in my thought of having one of those dread diseases.
