THE TRUE TRANQUILIZER

Many people today seem to be experiencing a helter-skelter type of living, with considerable coming and going; they hurry hither and yon, endeavoring to crowd a great number of activities into a relatively small time period. Accompanying this type of living is the belief of pressure that seems to keep one in a state of tension.

Tranquil living is something that is dreamed about, associated with a quiet life in the country, or thought of as that which one can have only in a tropical setting after retirement from the harried experience of making a living. Some seek false, material means in an effort to tranquilize their lives.

Christian Science comes to show that one can lead a tranquil existence right in the midst of turbulent living. Mary Baker Eddy writes in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 306), "Undisturbed amid the jarring testimony of the material senses, Science, still enthroned, is unfolding to mortals the immutable, harmonious, divine Principle,—is unfolding Life and the universe, ever present and eternal."
