How grateful I am that when I was about ten years old my mother became interested in Christian Science and that I had the opportunity of attending a Sunday School whenever we lived near a Church of Christ, Scientist! During the ten years that followed I had many opportunities to prove what I was learning in the Sunday School. I cannot remember ever being absent from school on account of sickness, although we lived in a climate where colds and other ailments were quite prevalent during the winter.

I was able to do my schoolwork, including examinations, with freedom from fear. During my junior year in high school, I attended a private college preparatory school, where honor pins were given to those who had an average of 85, which was considered very good for this school.

Although it was my first year in the school, another girl, who had been attending since kindergarten, and I were the only ones in the class to maintain this average consistently. The credit for this, in my case, goes to Christian Science, because I constantly turned to what I understood of divine Mind for the intelligence to do my schoolwork.
