HOW CHRISTIAN SCIENCE HEALS: September 13, 1958 Issue

RADIO PROGRAM No. 260 - Prayer Can Heal Seasonal Diseases

Speaker: Friends, for many years our guest had suffered serious attacks of hay fever. Just when she thought the condition was beyond help, she saw proof that healing is possible by spiritual means alone. And very shortly she proved this for herself. We've asked her to tell you about this healing, and she'll also tell us a little of the changes it brought in her life. Now I'd like to introduce Mrs. Marion Miller Harwoood, of London, England. This is a pleasure, Mrs. Harwood. First, was this a condition of long standing?

Mrs. Harwood: Yes, of very long standing. You see, it seemed to be an inherited thing. My mother suffered severely from hay fever, and from birth on, I had annual attacks which grew steadily worse. Very often I had to be in bed, and frequently I missed school.

As I grew up, I saw that the many remedies tried by my mother, and even operations, failed to give more than temporary relief. I thought a lot about this, for the condition seemed beyond medical means; and I began to wonder if I might turn to God for healing since I knew people were healed that way in Bible days.
