HOW CHRISTIAN SCIENCE HEALS: August 30, 1958 Issue

RADIO PROGRAM No. 258 - Cancer Dissolved Through the Power of Divine Love

Speaker: Does the Bible sometimes seem like a closed book? Or perhaps like a storehouse full of treasures, but you can't find the key? Our guest, Mrs. Adelina Werner, of San Francisco, California, is going to tell how her study of the Scriptures in the light of Christian Science unlocked this treasure house for her and brought regeneration and healing. Suppose you start by telling us how you became interested in Christian Science, Mrs. Werner.

Mrs. Werner: At the time I was introduced to Christian Science, I was suffering from a heart condition I'd had from birth. I'd gone to many doctors, including some of the finest in Europe, but they could do nothing for me and pronounced my condition incurable.

Later on, after I was married, I injured my spine in a fall and was bedridden for seven months. The heart condition was aggravated to such an extent that my husband feared for my life. He spoke about me to a friend who'd been healed in Christian Science, and this friend assured us that I could be healed too.
