NOTHING CAN DESTROY LIFE

Life is God, and God is eternal, omnipotent, omnipresent, omniscient. Man is Life's perfect idea, safely existent apart from any antagonist. Man is inseparable from Life, God, and is completely responsive to Him. Man cannot be thrust out of Life, and no quality or aspect of Life can be destroyed or taken from Life's reflection, man. Life, omniactive Spirit, cannot be slowed down or stopped. Nothing can influence or destroy God, divine Life, and hence nothing can influence or destroy Life's included idea, man.

These fundamental facts are the basis upon which Christian Science demonstrates its healing efficacy. A clear understanding of spiritual being acts as a law of correction to the persistent beliefs of mortals which assert that existence is separate from God and is therefore vulnerable to the opposing beliefs of sickness, sin, and death.

"Life is eternal," declares Mary Baker Eddy in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 246). And she continues, "We should find this out, and begin the demonstration thereof." Since Life is eternal, every idea embraced in Life is necessarily eternal. For Life to lose even one of its ideas, or one of its qualities, would constitute a depletion of Life. This is logically and evidently impossible. Life can never be less than itself, its complete self.
