"These signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; they shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover" (Mark 16:17, 18). The power of Truth taught and demonstrated by Christ Jesus is being proved in this age by students of Christian Science.

The seed of Truth was planted in my consciousness when, as a young girl, I saw its effect on the life of a dear friend of the family. However, I did not take up the study of Christian Science until after I was married and had two small children.

With almost no strength left I had reached a point where my husband said that something had to bedone: either I must have a doctor or request Christian Science help. I am very glad that I chose Christian Science. My husband purchased a Bible and the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, and I began the study of the Bible Lessons, given in the Christian Science Quarterly.
