After many years of benefits experienced...
After many years of benefits experienced through Christian Science, I feel I must tell of my first healing. It may help someone else to see that healing depends not on the number of large words one may use, but simply on the acceptance of the allness of God, divine Love.
About August, 1918, I was taken ill with severe pains in the abdomen and requested to be taken to a hospital. My husband and I had attended a Christian Science Society, and he had read "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. However, he was very new in Science, and I had almost no idea what it was all about.
After I arrived at the hospital a diagnosis was made of tuberculosis of the abdomen. That evening after office hours my husband came to the hospital to see me. Finding the ward momentarily without a nurse, he opened my medical chart and read that I had only about six months to live.
