RADIO PROGRAM No. 248 - Gaining the Mastery over Grief

Speaker: What a comfort it is to know that grief can be healed permanently, not by the passage of time, but now, through a deeper understanding of God's loving, ever–present care! Mrs. Helen K. Lowell, of Denver, Colorado, had to face such a situation when two of her loved ones passed on.

Mrs. Lowell: One summer, after an illness, our teen–age daughter passed on, and my husband died in the fall of the same year. In this time of sorrow I turned to Christian Science for support, as I had depended solely on it for my own needs for some fifteen years.

So I was faced with the need to see the unreality of death, not only for my own sake, but for my son's as well. He was seventeen at the time, and I knew if I could keep my own footing, he would too. So I began at once to cling steadfastly to the fact that Life is eternal, as Christ Jesus taught and proved for us all.
