FREDDIE'S NEW HOME

[Of Special Interest to Children]

Freddie first heard of Christian Science through his cousins, and with his parents' consent he began attending a Christian Science Sunday School. His eager face brightened with joy when the Sunday School teacher told him that because the Christ, or Truth, is always with us, people are healed through prayer in Christian Science just as they were in Christ Jesus' time.

Sometimes the teacher asked the children if they could tell of any healings that they had had by knowing the truth as they had been taught in Christian Science. Freddie loved to hear of these healings and hoped soon to be able to tell of some himself.

Sometimes, when asking the class to prepare for the following Sunday, the teacher would tell them to read very carefully a particular Bible verse or a sentence from "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, included in the Bible Lesson outlined in the Christian Science Quarterly. Then she would ask them to tell the class the next Sunday how this verse or sentence had helped them.
