PEACE WITH OUR ENEMIES
A wise man once declared (Prov.16:7), "When a man's ways please the Lord, he maketh even his enemies to be at peace with him." All who are sincerely interested in peace with their neighbors would do well to consider the scientific manner of gaining it as called for in this Biblical passage.
The requirement is not to please men, but to please God. If what we do is in accord with divine Principle, then we shall have a sound basis on which to live in friendship and peace with those whom we have falsely designated as our enemies.
One's enemy is actually never a person, a place, or a thing. It is always a false sense, an erroneous concept of being, the belief that error is real and that it has some claim to existence. Hence it is always a false sense which needs to be destroyed.
