"I will praise thee, O Lord, with my whole heart; I will shew forth all thy marvellous works" (Ps. 9:1). It is a joy and privilege to add my song of gratitude to the great paean of praise to God going forth throughout the world.

I have been healed of the smoking habit. Though I had always loved Christian Science and the Sunday School, I yielded to the temptation to smoke, and I smoked heavily for about seven years. I tried in vain to give up the habit. Finally, when I earnestly desired to identify myself with the Christian Science movement by membership in the Mother Church, I asked for help from a consecrated practitioner. Within a week the habit just dropped away, and the freedom which followed has been glorious.

During World War II my husband and I were sent to an over-crowded city while the aircraft carrier to which he was assigned was being put into commission. There were various arguments confronting us besides the fact that the city was crowded: we knew no one, and even if we did locate an apartment or room, we were afraid that it might be closed to us because of a dear puppy we had.
