My introduction to Christian Science...

My introduction to Christian Science came when my father consented to try Christian Science for almost total blindness, resulting from granulations on the eyelids. For a long time he had gone to an eye specialist, but he experienced no improvement. Then he was asked by a relative to have Christian Science treatment, and we children were asked to read to him. Through continued help he gained a complete healing.

Several years ago a member of our family who was working away from home became ill and was taken to a hospital in a nearby town. The illness was pronounced typhoid fever. When I was called, I went to him and asked him what kind of treatment he wanted. He said: "Well, you have had good results through Christian Science treatment. I believe I'll try it."

I called a practitioner and asked her to help this member of my family, who was then moved out of the hospital into a private home. Three or four days later he appeared to be passing on. I called the practitioner by telephone, and within thirty minutes she was at his side. When she arrived, the patient was sitting at the table in his robe eating lunch, and from that time on, his recovery was speedy.
