It is with deep and sincere gratitude for the many blessings that my family and I have received through the study and application of Christian Science for almost forty years that I send this testimony. We have had healings of rupture, quinsy, scarlet fever, influenza, boils, effects of accidents, and what appeared to be cancer of the tongue. All these healings were brought about through the help of practitioners or through our own application of the truth.

One of my first healings came after I caught my finger in the cogs of a clothes wringer. I asked for help from a practitioner, which was lovingly given. It did not seem to me that the finger could ever be normal again, but prayerful work was continued.

One day the thought came to me (Hebr. 4:12), "The word of God is quick, and powerful." With that I felt a sensation in the finger, which before had been quite numb, and I knew that all would be well. The finger later became entirely normal. At no time did it hinder me in doing my work.
