HOLDING THOUGHT ARIGHT

Students of Christian Science find with deep gratitude and true joy that their attitude and outlook are changed as they become aware that all is Mind and mental, that everything in human experience is the expression of thought, and that the only true, attractive, and influential thoughts are those which bespeak God and His goodness, harmony, and perfect, all-inclusive control. Belief in and fear of matter are greatly lessened as it is learned that there are actually no physical conditions to be feared and fought, inasmuch as the human body is a mental concept and is the servant of thought in every respect.

Christ Jesus saw this clearly, and he proved it completely in fulfilling his mission of glorifying God as the only Father, the only cause and creator, in his annulling of the claims of sin, sickness, and death. Christ Jesus said to his disciples (Luke 12:22, 31): "Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat; neither for the body, what ye shall put on. . . . But rather seek ye the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you."

In speaking further of the kingdom of God, Jesus taught that it is not in a place, for he said (Luke 17:21), "The kingdom of God is within you." So it may be said that the kingdom of God is the government of divine Mind and Love in individual consciousness by means of the dominance of true, loving, spiritual thoughts. This was exemplified in Christ Jesus' thoughts and life, in his declarations and demonstrations of the omnipresence and omnipotence of divine Principle, Love, whereby sin was nullified, all manner of disease was healed, and death was overcome.
