At birth, I had a dark, ugly...

At birth, I had a dark, ugly birthmark on the side of my face. When I was about two, a specialist examined me and informed my parents that a delicate operation could be performed in the hope of removing the birthmark, but that he could not be sure of the outcome. Instead of the operation, my parents had Christian Science treatment for me. The discoloring and ugliness faded away, and the healing has been permanent.

During the years since that time, we have had many proofs in our home of the healing power of Christian Science. Financial and business problems have been solved, and numerous physical difficulties have been overcome through the application of this wonderful truth.

I should like to relate one healing in particular, which I experienced more than twelve years ago. I had been having periodic attacks of severe headaches, numbness, and loss of consciousness. Although I worked for myself. as I had learned to do in Christian Science, the attacks continued. Each time they were more severe, and I became more fearful.
