My gratitude for Christian Science...

My gratitude for Christian Science can find only meager expression in words. During the years, many healings have resulted from my study of the textbook, Science and Health by our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy. Early in my study, it became evident that although I was beset by many physical difficulties, my greatest need was for purification of thought, which is the basis of all spiritual growth. I am grateful to say that much progress has been made.

My first healing was that of a broken nose, and it came through the realization of the allness of God and the utter nothingness of error. With the help of a practitioner I was healed of a dislocated knee in three days. The affirmation that only God's law of flawless and uninterrupted action could ever be present was joyfully acknowledged and proved. Another healing was that of a shriveled leg and foot. In this instance the thought of self-renunciation was studied. My gratitude is great for the consecrated services of the practitioner who helped me at that time.

All my life I had been deaf in one ear, and a specialist had implied that hearing in the other ear might also fail. Since my coming into Science the spiritual sense of hearing has been established, and normal hearing has followed.
