If I tried forever, I could never express enough gratitude for the many blessings that I have received through Christian Science. Inharmonious conditions have been worked out, chronic fatigue has been dispelled, and undesirable traits of character have been overcome. Many times I have been shown the marvelous guiding and guarding power of divine Love.

The most conspicuous healing that I have had was that of a neck condition. For over fifteen years the problem loomed large in my life. Much of that time I had to wear a collar to support my head when I drove a car, when I did any work that required looking down, or even when I rode on a train. Five noted specialists diagnosed the condition in different ways, from an arthritic neck to a broken neck. X rays showed the vertebrae were not in line.

I received heat treatments, massage, and my neck was put into traction, but there was no more than temporary relief at best. During this time I was obliged to sit in a straight chair and was unable to turn my head without great discomfort. Six years ago I could not even completely dress myself. One of the most difficult aspects was the sympathy from both friends and strangers. It was very kindly and lovingly meant, but it made it harder to fight despair and self-pity.
