HEALING THROUGH KNOWING TRUE UNITY WITH GOD

"I And my Father are one" (John 10:30). A tremendous truth is brought out in this statement of Christ Jesus. In his declaration of his oneness with God, the Master did not mean that the personal or human Jesus was one with God, divine Principle, but that his spiritual identity, the Christ, was forever established in Mind as the perfect expression of God's being.

Mary Baker Eddy writes in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 336): "Immortal man was and is God's image or idea, even the infinite expression of infinite Mind, and immortal man is coexistent and coeternal with that Mind. He has been forever in the eternal Mind, God." As we continually think and act from the standpoint of our true and only identity, which is forever at one with God, we demonstrate the omnipotence and omnipresence of God.

Since man is forever at one with perfect Life, we in our true being have never had any knowledge of life except as perfect, and we cannot in reality be diseased or die. The real man reflects only Godlike qualities. He is aware only of the things of Spirit. The understanding of these truths lifts us above the beliefs of sin and death.
