When I was a girl, my mother had a cherished friend whom we all loved. Noting her example of courage and love, I told my mother that I would like to have a religion such as this friend had, for through her I had glimpsed some of the beauty of a religion of Love. I was told that she was a Christian Scientist.

Later on I suffered for two years from a nervous collapse, supposedly from overstudy, and I was groping for spiritual enlightenment. Then followed my marriage, and the forming of a new home in a large city brought me into close contact with the wife of my husband's employer. This woman was a Christian Science practitioner. I began at once to attend services in a Church of Christ, Scientist, and at the first service I knew that Science was the ideal religion for which I had been longing, because it gave me the true idea of God and opened to me the meaning of the Bible. My complete physical healing followed.

Our home life has been filled with blessings through the truth as taught in Christian Science. Our four children were born under Christian Science treatment in our own home and in complete harmony. They attended the Christian Science Sunday School and experienced loving protection in schools and universities. After completing their education, they entered into and carried on successfully positions of responsibility through the continuous guidance of divine Love.
