HEALING THROUGH SEEING THE TRUE LIKENESS

There have been times in the history of art when a great painting has been discovered after careful and diligent study revealed that another painting had been superimposed on the original masterpiece. Skillful artistry has then been used to remove the overpainting, and the original in its grandeur has thus been brought to light.

Christian Science reveals the genuine grandeur of all of God's children. The mortal claims of sin, sickness, limitation, and the like, are unmasked when one recognizes man's coexistence with God, his all-knowing, all-loving Father, and sees the unreality of aught but the creations of divine Mind. These claims, dissolved into their native nothingness, disappear, and one finds himself to be what he always has been—the image and likeness of God. God's masterpiece is then revealed.

Through the teachings of Christian Science, one learns to recognize the real man, or spiritual man, and to perceive that any falsity which appears on the surface is no part of man. One sees that the real man can only be revealed by looking under the false portrayal.
