I attended the Christian Science Sunday School from early childhood and have always relied on Christian Science help. However, in all of my problems I was so lovingly supported by my family and Sunday School teachers that the healings were usually the result of their work, not of my own. After I married and moved away from home, I found that it was necessary for me to take my stand and work out my own problems.

I am so grateful to God that this situation arose, because it taught me how to use what I had been studying for years. My first big step was to demonstrate a true understanding of home and to prove that man is always in his right place, because God never created a wrong place. The demonstration of this truth touched every part of my experience and included a change in positions, a home of my own, and better relationships within my family.

Later, when I was going through the experience of childbirth, I realized that here again was an opportunity to demonstrate Christian Science for myself with the help of a practitioner. When the time for the birth arrived, there was a period of difficulty. A great deal of prayerful work was done, and I had the encouragement of a Christian Science nurse.
