"Bless the Lord, O my soul, and...

"Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with loving-kindness and tender mercies," said the Psalmist (Ps. 103:2-4).

That others may be benefited as I have been is my hope in sharing the following precious demonstrations of God's power and goodness. After having had one year in a Christian Science Sunday School, I put away the Bible and "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy and drifted with the tide of material thinking, getting out these books only when in great tribulation.

There came a day when the need for turning to God was urgent. A doctor told me that one of my internal organs should be watched closely and removed by surgery if it continued to manifest its present symptoms. I became very fearful, for although the doctor had not named the condition, I inferred that he thought it was cancer. Having little faith in material means, I at last took my stand for Truth and went right from the doctor's office to a Christian Science practitioner.
