UNDERSTANDING, THE "WELLSPRING OF LIFE"

Understanding is a wellspring of life unto him that hath it," we read in Proverbs (16:22). When we think of a well-spring, we think of a fountainhead of water, or perhaps a supply for the thirsty or for those needing refreshment. Adherents of Christian Science are finding through its study and application a wellspring from which they may draw spiritual inspiration and understanding any hour of the day to help them meet their daily needs. Such understanding enables Christian Scientists to identify themselves with God, good, their never-ending source of life.

Christian Science has brought to light the truth regarding creation as recorded in the first chapter of Genesis. It reveals God as wholly good, knowing only good, as infinite Mind, the divine, all-loving Principle of man and the universe, and man as God's likeness.

One mother will never forget the first proof she had of the effectiveness of this truth. Because she was a very new student of this Science and had not acquired much understanding of it, she was quite fearful when her infant child became seriously ill.
