NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE TO SPIRIT

At some period in our earthly experience most of us are called upon to do something which humanly seems hard and which we may even think impossible of achievement. Through Christian Science, however, we are taught how to rise above the self-imposed limitations of the so-called human mind and to prove the dominion vouchsafed to us through reliance on the scientific fact of the oneness, the inseparability, of God and man, Father and son.

"When man is governed by God, the ever-present Mind who understands all things, man knows that with God all things are possible." So writes Mary Baker Eddy on page 180 of the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures." This statement shows us that we are capable of performing whatever is right and progressive to the extent that we relinquish the doubts and fears attendant upon a false, material sense of existence and recognize our true selfhood as Spirit's perfect expression.

A definition of the word "impossible" is "incapable of being or of occurring." It is obvious to the Christian Scientist that evil alone is incapable of occurring or of possessing real being. Accidents, sickness, lack sorrow, and the like— these are really the impossibilities of being. Never is it correct to link the word "impossible" with any phase of good. Health, harmony, success, joy, supply—these are always possible of demonstration, and it is the privilege of the Christian Scientist to prove their ever-presence and indestructibility in his own experience and when called upon in that of others too.
