With gratitude to God for Christ Jesus, our Way-shower, and for Mary Baker Eddy and her revelation of Christian Science, by means of which we demonstrate God's loving care, I relate the following incident of divine protection.

Early on Saturday morning of a Labor Day week end, while I was driving alone, the thought came to me that it would be utterly impossible for Mind to experience an accident. Audibly and forcefully I declared this fact and other related truths which I had learned in Christian Science. In addition, I realized that man's place is established and that he cannot be forced out of it.

Several hours later, I was passing at considerable speed a large trailer. The driver of the car towing the trailer drew into the left lane of traffice. I blew the horn and applied the brakes, but I was forced completely off the highway. My lightweight foreign car bounced a great deal and at times tipped at a precarious angle, but I had no fear. In a very short time I was back on the highway. Though an accident had appeared imminent, it did not occur. Completely untroubled by the experience, I went on rejoicing in this proof of God's unfailing protection.
