Many are the blessings I have received from the study and application of Christian Science. MY mother became a student of this Science after it healed her of stomach trouble which medical treatment had failed to relieve. As a result, I had the privilege of attending the Sunday School from the time I was two years old.

Years ago I had an impressive healing. A gland behind my ear became infected and swelled to serious proportions. After this condition had persisted for over a week, mortal mind argued strongly that I must have the swollen place lanced. But through the help of a practitioner and my holding firmly to the truth, mental surgery took place. I awoke in the middle of one night to find the inflamed area had opened and drained. Complete healing quickly followed.

I witnessed a more recent healing while my husband was serving in the Army. He had been experiencing a sore throat for several days. Although we were both knowing the truth as we had been taught, no improvement resulted. He woke one morning to find the condition had spread to his face and neck, making swallowing and talking almost impossible. Because he did not want to report on sick call and submit to medical treatment, he left for work as usual, asking me to telephone a Christian Science practitioner for help. I did so, and absent treatment was begun at once. When my husband returned home that evening, he informed me that he was free from the discordant condition and that he had spent nearly two hours that afternoon instructing a group of men and had been able to swallow and talk in a natural manner. This healing has been a great inspiration to us.
