For many years I have proved the power of prayer through Christian Science, which was given to us by our revered Leader, Mary Baker Eddy. A friend of my mother was healed by reading the textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. My mother was much impressed with this healing, and after my marriage she brought this practical and healing religion into my home, where she was living at that time. I witnessed her healing of pneumonia in one treatment. Soon after a practitioner was called she arose from the bed and dressed.

I was suffering at the time from hemorrhoids; so I called for help in Christian Science. I began attending church and studying very faithfully, and my healing followed. Since then I have been healed of goiter, tonsillitis, and stomach trouble. Fear of storms and various false traits of character have been overcome. I am most grateful for the understanding which has come to me that matter is nothing and that good is all.

On one occasion I was healed of what was called liver spots, which were on my hands, arms, and neck. This condition was very conspicuous, and people would comment on it. On our golden wedding anniversary my husband and I had the pleasure of attending the Annual Meeting of The Mother Church, and we enjoyed a feast of spiritual thoughts, to which we listened with great interest. Soon after returning home, I noticed the spots were gone.
