I thank God for Christian Science...

I thank God for Christian Science and for all the avenues through which this spiritually uplifting and healing religion is made available to mankind. Christian Science was introduced to our family about twenty-five years ago. "While it was not presented to meet a specific problem in our immediate family, it answered a need I had had for several years.

Prior to this time I had experienced numerous so-called childhood diseases, colds, sore throat, and other common ailments. My absence from elementary, school for one or more periods of about two weeks' duration each year was the usual occurrence. Immediately after our family began the study and application of Christian Science, this picture was reversed.

At my high school commencement about five years later I was recognized as the only one of our graduating class of more than sixty members who had neither been absent nor tardy during the previous four years. I was particularly grateful for this proof of God's presence and protection, because at that time ours was the only family which was studying Christian Science in that particular community.
