The Cushing Daily Citizen

Cushing, Oklahoma (First Church).

Impressive dedication services were held at First Church of Christ, Scientist, on Sunday [May 19, 1957] at 11 a.m. and again at 4 p.m. with large audiences attending. The new church [was] erected in 1953.... The hymns sung were significant of the dedication. These included "We thank Thee and we bless Thee," "'Feed My Sheep'" by Mary Baker Eddy, and "Onward, Christian Soldiers" [Christian Science Hymnal, Nos. 374, 304, 264], In addition to former residents attending from out of state, members and guests from Tulsa, Stillwater, Oklahoma City, Drumright, and Yale were present.
