I began the study of Christian Science about thirty-five years ago in an effort to alleviate the distressing situation in which I found myself at that time. My husband was ill and unable to work. We had three children to rear and educate, and we had no money.

As I read and studied, trying to the best of my ability to gain spiritual understanding, conditions gradually improved. My husband's health was restored, and he was able to obtain employment. As the truth unfolded in my consciousness, ways and means to improve our financial situation were revealed to me. I applied for and received employment as a substitute school-teacher, and over a period of about twelve years I taught with a great degree of regularity.

During that time I had many physical healings, some through my own work and some with the help of a practitioner. In due time I obtained membership in The Mother Church and became active in branch church work. Then came the wonderful privilege of class instruction, an experience for which I can never be grateful enough.
