Christian Science had been presented to me a number of times before I was ready to accept it. Through the influence of our eleven-year-old son, our family came to realize that "man's extremity is God's opportunity."

We had returned to this country after my husband's tour of duty with our Armed Forces in China. While there he had contracted a severe type of dysentery, and our son had suffered from skin disease. Soon after our return our son chose to attend a Christian Science Sunday School. After class on the first Sunday, he remained to talk with his teacher, who said she would he glad to call on his mother if she wished.

The teacher did call, and this was the start of a new era for us. Our son grasped the meaning of Truth as taught in Science more readily than my husband and I did, because we had been indoctrinated in the teachings of another religion.
