It is with great joy that I can say that I have had the blessing of Christian Science from an early age, when my mother put me into the Sunday School. Later she told me to get an understanding of Christian Science because I would need it. How true those words have been, and how Science has met every need! Through my realization of God's ability to supply His children with everything they require, all material needs have been met abundantly, and many physical healings have taken place.

I have had healings of a spinal disorder, weariness, weakness, painful feet, eyestrain, and other difficulties. A healing for which I am particularly grateful was one which our daughter had of scarlet fever. My husband was away at the time. On the morning he left, our daughter came to show me that she was manifesting symptoms of the disease. I immediately wired for help from a Christian Science practitioner who lived some distance away, and I also declared the truth myself.

That night was quite a severe testing time. Neither our daughter nor I got any sleep, but we held fast to Truth. As the condition did not clear up by the next day, a report was made to the local board of health. We were told that the child had a case of scarlet fever and that it would be necessary to put up a quarantine sign. The next night was much easier. By the following day the child was not experiencing much discomfort, and the symptoms had nearly disappeared. Though it was necessary to keep her at home, she was soon well and playing around.
