Until Christian Science was presented to me by a dear friend, I had been looking a long time in the wrong direction for health and happiness. Then trust in divine Love came to me. I became more and more confident and learned to love Christian Science very much.

I should like to tell of a lovely demonstration of Truth which I experienced. In my daily activities I was surrounded by evidences of coughs and colds. I was tempted to believe that I would catch these conditions. Then I thought of the Bible passage which relates that when Jesus was surrounded by enemies bent on his destruction, "he passing through the midst of them went his way" (Luke 4:30).

I recognized with a grateful heart that I had an opportunity to follow Jesus' example. Faith, humility, confidence, joy, and compassion touched my thinking, and a wonderful feeling of security, even in the midst of discord, filled my whole consciousness. Love occupied my thought, and there was no space for fear. I knew that with Christ, Truth, in my thought and in my heart I could safely pass through the midst of contagion. This proved to be the case. When we serve God alone and are guided by Him, nothing can place itself in the way of our progress.
