For over twenty-five years our family has relied on Christian Science for all its needs. When I was twelve, my mother was led to study this healing religion, and since that time I have taken no medicine of any kind. I have been healed of a sprained ankle, a carbuncle on the neck, the need for wearing glasses, a streptococcie sore throat, and many other diseases.

My husband was healed of pneumonia through his own earnest study and the help of a devoted practitioner. Our two children were born at home with the help of a Christian Science nurse, and we have turned entirely to God in caring for them.

One instance of protection, for which I am most grateful, came when our younger boy was about ten months old. He fell through a trap door from the first floor to the cement basement floor below. My husband and I ran to pick him up, and he screamed so hard that neither of us could think for a moment. But my husband began to declare aloud the statement from Science and Health (p. 402), "In Science, no breakage nor dislocation can really occur." He also repeated Mrs. Eddy's statement on page 258: "Never born and never dying, it were impossible for man, under the government of God in eternal Science, to fall from his high estate."
