In 1944 I was sent to a hospital in a very critical condition and with no hope of becoming better. My stomach was greatly enlarged, and I had a large internal hernia. After several X rays had been taken, six doctors pronounced me incurable. They sent me home and said that I would never work again.

I knew nothing whatever about Christian Science, but on the recommendation of a friend I borrowed the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, and threw out all my medicine. I read the textbook almost constantly night and day. While reading I had such a wonderful sense of peace that I knew I was in the presence of God. In about a week I was eating anything I wanted, and I began to work again. The stomach resumed its normal size, and the hernia disappeared. In all other churches I have attended, I have never found such a wonderful understanding of God, good, as I have in Christian Science.

A few years after that healing, I developed pneumonia. A Christian Science practitioner came to my bedside and prayed for me. In fifteen minutes I was healed. About two year ago I was stricken with a severe condition in the head, which made me so dizzy that I could not walk without falling over. A friend helped me to her car and into a practitioner's office. I walked out alone, and the next day I walked downtown. The healing was complete.
