I know that Christian Science heals, and I am very grateful for the joy that it has brought into my experience.

When our young son passed on several years ago, I went through a period of great discouragement, and there appeared to be no ray of hope. I was grateful for my knowledge of Christian Science, but felt that I must learn more about God and my relationship to Him in order to lift my thought from utter darkness and despair.

In "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" Mary Baker Eddy writes (p. 1), "Desire is prayer." My prayer, or desire, for a better understanding of God was answered. The last phase of the problem that held me in bondage was the remembrance of a mortal concept of a body. When I was able to turn away from this false concept and see man as the child of God, therefore spiritual and immortal, I was healed of the grief.
