Thank God for Christian Science

Thank God for Christian Science. It has met my every need since I began an earnest study of it six years ago. One healing was outstanding, and for it I am unspeakably grateful. I became suddenly beset with suggestions of great grief, despondency, and fear. These suggestions were with me day and night, and I could hardly eat or sleep.

A fearless and loving practitioner stood by me patiently when I felt that I could go no further. Although the complete healing took two years, the testing time proved a great blessing to me. Much self love, self-pity, possessiveness, fear, and willfulness came to the surface and were destroyed.

During this experience I accepted a new position doing creative writing for a large firm. The power of the Christ enabled me to carry out my duties in the face of error's constant suggestion that my mind would not function properly. So great was the protective power of Christian Science that, although many times I felt on the verge of hysteria, no one except the practitioner and myself ever knew of the condition. During this period I sought membership in a branch church and had the privilege of teaching in its Sunday School and serving on other committees. My membership in this branch church and in The Mother Church proved a bulwark to me during the trial I was undergoing.

At another time I was healed instantaneously of a severe pain in my side, accompanied by nausea. This healing was accomplished through absent treatment given by a practitioner. More recently my daughter was born harmoniously under Christian Science treatment.

Many blessings have poured into my life through Christian Science. I give heartfelt thanks to our loving, intrepid Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, for establishing this religion on the rock, Truth, so that all may be blessed. I am grateful that she was divinely inspired to write the Manual of The Mother Church and to establish The Mother Church and every activity of our movement.
