While visiting at a yacht club...

While visiting at a yacht club, I went swimming with friends. We were all diving from a small pier that extended out into water over our heads. In running to jump off the pier I slipped, and as I fell into the water one foot hit the edge of the pier. When I got out of the water my foot was hurting me. I looked at it and saw that two of my toes were badly distorted. I could not even step on the foot. The first thought I had was, "There are no accidents in divine Mind."

When I arrived home I called a practitioner and told her what had happened. Then I read several references from Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. I knew that God, Spirit, did not create an imperfect man and that in Truth I was spiritual and perfect, the true idea of God, and could only express perfect being.

After a day or two the toes were still distorted, but the swelling was going down. A relative who is not a Christian Scientist happened to look at my foot. He said that the toes were broken and that I should go to a doctor and have them set. I became a little fearful that I might not be able to continue with my ballet dancing. Then this thought came to me: "How can a doctor know or do more than God? God is All-in-all, and He knows only that which He created, the perfect and complete man." After a week I was walking on the foot a little, and a short time later it was completely healed. I resumed my dancing lessons, and my toes are normal.
