I should like to express my gratitude...

I should like to express my gratitude for Christian Science. Over a period of more than twenty years, I have witnessed many healings in my family. Shortly after I became interested in Christian Science, my husband passed on, and I was left alone with two small children to rear. From a human standpoint we had very little, but as we turned unreservedly to God and studied earnestly each day the Bible and "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, our every need was met. The children were very quickly healed whenever illness presented itself. I was able to find employment, and there was always someone to care for the small children while I was away from home. We all felt it a very great privilege to attend a Christian Science Sunday School, where I was a teacher, and the children were pupils.

As we learned to place radical reliance on Truth and trust God implicitly, not only were all our needs met, but a wonderful sense of peace, assurance, and happiness came to our little family. And with each testing time came much spiritual growth. Colds, broken bones, mumps, and scarlet fever were among the conditions which I saw healed.

An outstanding healing was that of a tooth cavity, which was filled during my two weeks of class instruction. Before class I had gone to the dentist to have my teeth cleaned. The dentist said I had one very bad cavity which should be filled. I made an appointment for the week following class.
