Soon after my introduction to...

Soon after my introduction to Christian Science a student of this religion spoke to me of the allness of God. He said that God fills all space and has all power, although He is invisible. This seemed impossible to me, taught as I had been for many years to have a finite sense of God.

I pondered the statement a great deal and questioned how anything could be everywhere. Then I reasoned that, practically speaking, air is everywhere on earth and that it is usable, but invisible. Next came the realization that electricity is everywhere and that it too is usable, although invisible. Then I thought of other forces which, although unseen, are nevertheless everywhere and powerful.

The teachings of the Bible and of Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy that God is Life and that Life is everywhere became illumined. I understood the words of St. Paul (Acts 17:28), "In him we live, and move, and have our being." And the of God, of Christ, and of Jesus, which are found in the Glossary of Science and Health, have answered my questions regarding these subjects.
