About twelve years ago I suffered...
About twelve years ago I suffered from a very painful condition in my right arm. My arm became weak, and finally I could not use it at all.
One day I realized that I had become discouraged and confused. The thought came to me to talk to my son about the condition, since we are both Christian Scientists. That very day he called to say he would be at my home for dinner. As we sat at dinner, one of my daughters remarked: "Christian Scientists are so seldom sick and express such good health! Mother is a good example of that."
After my son had left, I realized that I had forgotten to mention my arm to him. In spite of the pain, I found myself repeating over and over again that in reality I did express good health. Very early next morning I opened my Bible and read (Ps. 71:1), "In thee, O Lord, do I put my trust: let me never be put to confusion." I felt great peace, and fear left me.
