With loving gratitude to our Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, who discovered for us the healing Science that Christ Jesus demonstrated, I wish to share this testimoney.

When I heard of Christian Science, I had just learned from the doctor that I had tuberculosis. In addition, our little daughter was having to spend all her time in a wheel chair, and because of her condition we were living at a great distance from my husband's work so that she might have sea air.

Instead of improving, things became worse, and I felt that prayer was imperative. I prayed very earnestly and asked God to show me whether or not He really existed and had power to heal; for if so, I was quite ready to believe it. The next morning I was handed the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, and I knew immediately that my prayer had been answered.

The first thing I read was that God is Mind, and I felt better at once. By reading the textbook, I was completely healed in a few weeks. Also with the help of a practitioner our little girl was healed, and we became a much happier family.

Since then we have had healings of chicken pox, measles, sore throat, a badly sprained foot, and other inharmonious conditions. I am grateful that during the Second World War I found peace of mind in studying the textbook and the other writings of our inspired Leader, Mrs. Eddy. The Christian Science periodicals and class instruction were also most helpful to me at that time. I am profoundly grateful to God that our Leader has shown us the Christlike way to think and work.—(Mrs.) Lilian A. E. Olsson, Edinburgh, Scotland.
