"Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the Lord JEHOVAH is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation" (Isa. 12:2).

In "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" Mary Baker Eddy defines "salvation" in part as follows (p. 593): "Life, Truth, and Love understood and demonstrated as supreme over all."

For many years this salvation has been manifested in my life. During the time I was attending high school my family became interested in Christian Science, and a practitioner made her home with us for several months. During this period I met a girl who had been healed of severe injuries suffered in a streetcar accident several years before. Her healing had come through the help of the practitioner who was staying with us.
