With humble gratitude I submit my testimony of the healing efficacy of Christian Science. I had attended a Christian Science Sunday School, and during the Second World War, I had many proofs of protection through the application of my understanding of this religion.

Regular study of Science was not maintained in the years following the war, however, and when I was confronted with a serious chest condition, members of my family urged me to seek medical aid. At this point I realized that I must return to the study and application of Science. The aid of a Christian Science practitioner was requested, and the work of healing was lovingly taken up.

The following Sunday, as I was preparing to go to church, hemorrhage of the lungs occurred. I asked myself, "Are you going to rely on God or submit to fear and material methods?" I chose the only way we can go in Christian Science, the way of radical reliance on Truth. On the walk to church the coughing became so intense that I almost turned back. But as I entered the auditorium, the cough disappeared. It has never returned. The whole condition cleared up in three or four days, and I was again able to take up my normal activities.
