PURPOSE

God's perfect plan
Is never changed
For man, the object of His care.
Love's clear intent
Stands unrevised;
God works not by experiment.

Mind's imaging
Could hold no hint
Of shifting purpose, vain regret,
Or thwarted will.
His likeness once
Is His unaltered likeness still.

No age-old cry,
"Too soon"; "Too late,"
Can hinder man's complete success.
It is at hand
To be discerned
As thought accepts what Love has planned.

Unharmed by loss
Or blundering,
The man God made remains intact,
Divine decree
Sustaining him
In pre-existent purity.
