THIS PRESENT POWER OF LOVE
Everything
that has been—is,
And all that is to be
Has been already: good is all,
And we have only now
To live in—man is at the point
Of actuality.
No future fear can touch him,
No past regret impair
His sweet serenity; we know
That God is everywhere.
That man, His image, manifests
Love irresistibly.
Rocklike, secure, reflecting Soul,
So every one of us
Is in God's image fashioned, whole,
Inseparable from Christ:
We know that Love is present now
Embracing our life.
So "now are we the sons of God;"
One animus of good
Impels and patterns our lives
That each of us may prove
This present power of Love dispels
All sickness, sin, and fear.
And now and here
Life's lovely image springs
From Soul and forever flowers
As our reality: forever ours.
The certain peace that perfect loving brings.
